Mobilinux Open Framework
MontaVista launched its Mobilinux Open Framework initiative in February to deliver choice, flexibility and architectural freedom to mobile operators and handset suppliers.
The Mobilinux Open Framework offers operators and handset manufacturers reference architectures, which will allow them to build Linux-based designs quicker, create differentiated products and ease the migration to an open operating system.
With over 2 million handsets in the market and a number of designs in development, MontaVista Linux is currently the operating system of choice for mobile devices from Motorola, NEC and Panasonic
