RapidIO is a logical extension to the widely-deployed MontaVista Linux Professional Edition, in a variety of networking client devices, and to the recently announced MontaVista Linux Carrier Grade Edition, targeted at highly available, high performance telecommunications and networking infrastructure applications. |

PICMG (PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturers Group) is a consortium of over 700 companies who collaboratively develop specifications that adapt PCI technology for use in industrial and telecommunications applications. PICMG specifications include CompactPCIR for Eurocard, rackmount applications and PCI/ISA for passive backplane, standard format cards. PICMG's mission is to extend the PCI standard, as approved by the PCI Special Interest Group (PCI SIG), for computer systems such as PCI/ISA, PCI/EISA and the PCI/3U or 6U Eurocard form factor known as CompactPCI. |
